Election Dates

Voter Registration Deadlines - The deadline to register to vote is 29 days before any election.  All new registration applications and party change requests must be received by a voter registration agency or postmarked on or before that date to be eligible to vote in the election.

Closed Primary Election - Florida is a closed Primary Election state.  In Florida, Primary Elections are designated for members of each political party to determine the party’s candidate for the general election. As such, only voters registered as members of a political party 29 days before the election may vote in that party’s primary portion of the election. Nonpartisan contests held at the same time as the primary will be open to all voters.
