Adopt A Drop Site

What Is Adopt A Drop Site?
Adopt A Drop Site is a program that allows us to forge an alliance with 501(c)(3) businesses, community service organizations, agencies and other entities to address the continual need for dedicated, committed, customer service - oriented Drop Site workers.

How Does Adopt A Drop Site Work?
Ideally an organization provides 8-10 individuals from its membership to adopt an entire Drop Site on Election Day. However, there is no minimum number of individuals who can work for your organization. We will train you to work your specific Drop Site.

What are the Benefits to Your Organization?

  • Earnings from the day go directly to your organization
  • Your organization ensures democracy moves forward
  • We will recognize your organization's participation and civic involvement on our website

What are the Qualifications to be a Drop Site Worker?

  • Read and write the English language
  • Be able to work a 4 hour evening
  • Have personal transportation
  • Be able to lift 15 to 30 pounds
  • Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors and Transmitters must attend a two-hour training prior to the election

What are the Potential Earnings?
Drop Site workers earn anywhere from $40 - $100 depending on the position. For example, 10 Drop Site workers can earn a minimum of $400.00 for your organization in one election!

What are the Drop Site Positions?
There are five positions associated with working a drop Site:

1. Supervisor- Oversees the site operations.

2.Assistant Supervisor - Assists the Supervisor, and transports the OSX tabulator to the Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center if it cannot be uploaded at the dropsite. (You must have your own transportation)

3. Receiver - Records the receipt and arrival of the equipment and bags.

4. Transmitter (2) - Upload OSX tabulator using phone lines.

5. Runners (2-3) - Transports bags and tabulators to various stations.
